8 MARCH MANIFESTO

MANIFESTO OF THE INSTITUTE OF WOMEN OF CASTILLA-LA MANCHA
welcome another year the International Women's Day, being aware of the goals and the rights won in our region and gender inequalities persist and push us to strengthen our commitment every day.
Women in Castilla-La Mancha have achieved goals that were thought impossible in a while back and has done so because we have not resigned and we have continued to uniting our energy, labor and solidarity towards the common goal of equality and inalienable. In this task we had the support of the Castilian-La Mancha and, especially, with the decisive drive of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, which has become equal in the transverse axis of government action.
The commitment on the real and effective equality between women and men has been delivered with equality laws and policies of pioneers who were accorded to women's access to the first line de la vida social y política que por derecho se merecen.
Hoy nuestro compromiso con la igualdad está present in all policies of this government, in employment, education and health, economic policy, focused on development and innovation in agriculture and the environment or culture. Undoubtedly, our goal is equality permeate all government action, so that each area discuss and assess the situation, circumstances and interests of men and women so that they can identify gender inequalities still exist and try to combat with appropriate corrective measures. Result of this commitment has been recently approved the Equality Scheme for employees and public employees of the Regional Administration and
upcoming Strategic Plan on Equality of Women and Men in Castilla-La Mancha, who compiled a large set of measures aimed at further steps towards equality.
However, we must continue working to eliminate those imbalances that still persist between women and men and prevent not only the free personal and professional development of women but of our whole society. Women are the key to progress in all societies, and a pillar out of economic crisis
currently experiencing. Among all people, we must transform our current social and economic model into a more just and equitable in women's access, remain and promote in the workplace on equal terms, a possible model where the responsibility of women and men in both the private and the public, a model where there is no behavior that violates the dignity of women and a model which, of course, there is no gender-based violence.
This is the society we want for Castilla-La Mancha and the will continue to work, as we have been doing so far, with conviction and courage. Because equality is not a concession is a right of citizenship and a duty priority for this Government.
Finally, the celebration of this day should serve to not ever forget the millions women and girls from other parts of the world who suffer the consequences of gender inequality in the most terrible and whose rights are continually violated. Our achievements should continue to inspire solidarity and tenacious work to achieve the legitimate rights of all women
in all parts of the world.
Happy International Women's Day.
